About Us
Weaver Seed Service is the definition of your family-owned seed dealer. When you call us, you will talk directly to the decision-makers, no need to check with management on a price. We started this business in early 2018 with a focus on family values and community. It is our belief that we should know and treat clients like family. We are going to want to visit your farm and look into your specific needs before we suggest hybrids or try to sell you something that may not work for you. Weaver Seed Service was not started with the intention of becoming a large-scale ag-retailer. Unlike some of the large fertilizer dealerships in the region that sell seed for a few months in the winter, we sell and study seed 365 days a year. It is our profession. We take pride in our employees being farmers themselves. If it doesn’t work for us, we won’t sell it to you. Despite our smaller size, we are easy to find. Look to the crops where we will be outstanding in our field.

Chris Weaver founded Weaver Seed Service in 2018 and is a sixth-generation farmer. Chris graduated from the University of Maryland. In 2014 Chris began pushing yields in both corn and soybeans. He has never been satisfied with the status quo of agriculture and refuses to be told there is something farmers cannot achieve. Chris’ ultimate goal is to grow 200+ bushels no-till non-irrigated soybeans.

Nathan received a Bachelors in Agronomy and Soils from Auburn University in 2018, and he still manages his family’s farm in his spare time, where they cultivate forage, orchard, and row crops. Nathan spent several years in the turfgrass industry before coming to Weaver Seed Service, he also specializes in John Deere corn planters.

Ed Stanfield
Seed Treatment Specialist
Ed Stanfield is a fourth-generation farmer who manages the treatment of all our soybean seed. Ed was one of the first people Chris worked with on increasing soybean yields. A lot of Ed’s success is derived from his years in the vegetable business and his extensive knowledge of micromanaging crops.

Dick Weaver
Co-Founder
Dick Weaver began the family’s interest in the seed business during the 1980s as a Jacques seedsman. Dick taught ag-education for 38 years and dedicated eight years to his community as a County Commissioner. He manages the day-to-day operations of the family grain farm, as well as the Hickory Hollow Farm’s beef herd.

Tom Walsh
Agronomic Advisor
Tom is a second-generation farmer and serves as an agronomic advisor to our team. He began his career in the produce business but has won several National Corn Grower Association titles and pursued high-yielding crops for the last ten years. Tom is a wealth of knowledge and a tremendous resource to our team. Tom also developed the first frame-mounted no-till coulter design which has become instrumental to this region’s success.

Charlie Weaver
Junior Sales Executive
Charlie is a seventh-generation farmer who absolutely loves shelling corn. Charlie enjoys driving his 4840 John Deere and keeping the rest of the team on their best behavior. Charlie is learning everything he needs to know to become the new boss!
